“”Many neighbors passing by my house have commented on how nice my sidewalks and patios look. Creative Concrete did a wonderful job. They were pleasant to work with and delivered an exceptional product that I will enjoy for many years to come. I will continue to refer my friends and neighbors to Creative Concrete.” – Chris Johnsen (see review on Google Maps)
“”Had a driveway and sidewalk poured last week. Extremely pleased with the results. Very friendly and knowledgeable crew. Job was done timely and professionally and the cost was very reasonable. Thank you for a job well done!” – Anne Finn (see review on Google Maps)
“I have used Creative Concrete at all 3 houses that I have lived in (also my parents have used them too). Usually after seeing the work that they do, my neighbors hire them too. The biggest job that they’ve done for us was a beautiful stamped flagstone sidewalk that wrapped from our disconnected garage to the house, around the side and all the way out to the front sidewalk on a rather large city lot. This included 3 stoops, one with disability access as well as a large patio. You cannot believe the artistry these guys displayed. The way they laid out cement ensured that the most amount of greenspace was preserved, used curved forms to achieve a very pleasing aesthetic all while creating a most practical access configuration. When we went to upgrade to a new house and sold in the valley of a down market, the new owners said that the curb appeal of the cement work is what sealed the deal for them. Brian and his crew are most deserving of the name ‘Creative Concrete’.” – Mike Bougie (see review on Google Maps)

The Advantages of a Concrete Walkway
Gravel paths seem like an easy option and look great at first, but they can become a headache. The gravel scatters onto your lawn, creates muddy spots after rain, and leaves ankle-twisting ruts.
What can be more solid than stone and brick? Although these materials are very durable, when they go head-to-head against Minnosota winters, frost heave can push them out of place.
Pavers work loose over time, especially on slopes, leaving wobbly spots that can catch snow shovels. Also, weeds grow up through gravel and between bricks and pavers in the summer. When winter hits, trying to clear snow from uneven surfaces or scattered gravel is frustrating.
Because concrete is poured in larger sections and reinforced with rebar, it has fewer seams, and is better able to stay put as one solid piece. The even surface is slip-resistant but still easy to shovel.
You won’t need to reset sections every spring when the ground thaws (as you would with pavers) or rake gravel back into place.
“Creative Concrete did a large project for us this spring – a long driveway, sidewalk, and front steps in standard concrete plus a stamped and textured patio. Due to varying surface levels on the old patio and driveway, they recommended some major adjustments to level out the area and improve drainage. They also installed a hidden underground drain to carry water from our downspouts away from the driveway. From start to finish the whole team was prompt, courteous, and helpful. They brought in a large crew to get the project done in just a few days, and every one of them was polite and hardworking. We were very pleased with how it turned out and would highly recommend them to others.” – Tammy Wallin (see review on Google Maps)
Concrete Walkway Design Options
Grey and white concrete is practical and sometimes the perfect choice for some designs. However, concrete can come in many more colors and patterns through stamping.
How does stamping work? Once we pour the concrete, we can imprint a molded image into the surface as it dries. The image can be pre-fabricated or we can create it on the spot. We can also add color to the stamped project to give it depth and character. Once the image dries, it takes on the characteristics of the material that you had in mind:
- Wood
- Stone
- Brick
- Cobblestone
- Pavers
- Slate
- Tile
And more.

“I am so happy with my new driveway and sidewalk. Bryan and his crew did such a wonderful job. I have referred 2 of my friends to Creative Concrete already. When they see my driveway and sidewalk they express how nice it looks. My neighbor said he watched the installation and was impressed at how well it was constructed and how nice it looks. I will recommend Creative Concrete every chance I get.” – Marie Cassler (see review on Google Maps)
Concrete Walkway Installation Process
We start with grading and compaction to create proper drainage and a stable foundation.
Strong forms and control joints are placed strategically to minimize cracking. We pour the concrete and add your chosen stamp pattern, giving your walkway its unique style.
We use E5 concrete, which includes a sealing agent in the mix. It doesn’t require additional sealing. It holds up in harsh weather and looks great.

Creating a Unified Look
If you’re thinking about a driveway or other concrete project along with the walkway, doing both at once gives you perfectly matched patterns across your property, and can save time and money during installation. For these reasons we generally recommend doing concrete projects at the same time, rather than spacing them out over months or years.
What Sets Creative Concrete Apart
